Your Amazon Fishing Trip

Fish remote Brazilian waters for peacock bass, explore the Amazon with experienced local guides, and spend a week immersed in the kind of adventure most fishermen only dream about.

OVERVIEW

Fishing the Amazon is different.

There are no guaranteed fish and no identical days. Water levels change. Fish move. Weather shifts. A creek that was quiet yesterday may come alive today.

That’s part of the appeal.

Each day, guides adjust to the conditions and move through different stretches of water in search of active fish. Some days are defined by explosive topwater strikes. Others are about covering water, exploring new areas and waiting for one opportunity that changes the whole day.

This is not a stocked lake. It’s the Amazon.

Planning Your Flight

Getting to the Amazon

The easiest and most cost-effective flights to Manaus connect through Panama via Copa Airlines. We recommend searching from Miami or Tampa which offers the connecting flight. Your flight will leave on Saturday and arrive at 2:30am on Sunday morning in Manaus (MAO).

Your journey begins in Manaus, Brazil, the primary gateway to the central Brazilian Amazon. From there, ABPF coordinates the next stage of travel toward the fishing region and your accommodations.

Depending on the trip and current logistics, that journey may include ground transportation, river travel or a combination of both.

The destination is remote—but you won’t be left to figure it out on your own.

Getting your visa

You must get a visa to travel.

U.S. guests are required to obtain a visa before traveling to Brazil. The application can be completed online through the official Brazilian visa website and may take up to 10 days to process. We strongly encourage guests to apply as soon as their trip is confirmed so there is plenty of time before departure.
